Histopathology

Histopathology is a branch of medicine that refers to microscopic examination of tissue in order to study the manifestations of any disease. The process of histopathology involves the biopsy procedure where small sample of tissue is taken out for testing.

 

Patient is kept sedated to remove a small part of the infected area to test or examine in order to find the progress of infection or spread of infection.

 

Histopathology examines the surgical specimen collected at biopsy and tested by pathologist. Pathologist’s observe the surgical specimen and further transfer that to histopathology for more clear results.

 

The result of histopathology will consist of the document with diagnosis determined by examining the cells and tissues under the microscope. The report also consists of the information regarding size, shape, appearance of specimen for a naked eye. Histopathology involves biopsy to figure out the exact problem and treatment methods.
