Microbiology is a study of microscopic organisms like Viruses, bacteria, algae, fungi, protozoa etc. This study of micro organisms will solve many problems by testing the specimens from patients and find the cause of the illness to provide the appropriate drugs against the micro organisms identified.

Microbiology laboratory at PRK Hospitals is fully equipped with latest technology lab equipment. There two main functions of Microbiology in our hospital, one is diagnosis of infection in individual patient and support to Hal prevention and control.

At PRK Hospitals in addition to conventional techniques, the lab is well equipped with automated systems that perform blood culture and mycobacterium culture reducing the turnaround time of reporting.
